Tuesday, a bagful of mixed blessings!

Started out today well. Got some good prayer time in this morning before the sun came up, drank my coffee and prepared for the day... however, by 11 am things had definitely gone downhill, seems yours truly somehow forgot to take care of the electric bill... Vectren was not happy, so, they shut my power off. Praise God for the Church and it's rapid assistance, I only had to endure one night of no juice so hopefully all is well.
Also received word yesterday that the Pastor's wife has been given the grim news that there is not anything else that the Doctors can do for her. Praise the Lord that we know who is the Magnificent Healer and that prayers for intervention are being lifted up around her.

Prayers, Joys and Concerns

I attend a small, yet wonderful church on the West Side of Evansville, Indiana. It is an oasis of love, friendship and unity in a world where there is very little of any of those things. It is my Church Home. If you don't have one, find one... I know that at times churches and congregations can seem distant and unwelcoming, maybe you've suffered from judgement and/or isolation in a congregation. Keep looking. I have found that having that fellowship is so rewarding when it is with the right people.

Anyway, our Pastors wife, a very sincere and warm woman of God, is approaching the end of a long battle with cancer. I simply want to ask for each of you to pray for peace in JoAnn and Gary's lives, comfort to their family and for God's perfect will to be done. I am personally praying for a miracle, she is far too precious a commodity in this world to let her pass without a dedicated effort to heal her.

Bless each and everyone who reads this, may you find the peace and joy of knowing God, may my thoughts and notes reinforce the work that the Lord either has or will soon start in you. May you find that which you seek and may the Light and Love of Christ shine into the recesses of your heart. Amen.

Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End

The Holy Bible, the Living Word of God. We all have differing ideas and opinions regarding the source, accuracy and content of this, perhaps the oldest of all religious texts.

From the Creation to the final verse of Revelation, the Bible spreads the story not of mankind, but of God, the Creator and His desires and requirements of His Creation.

As a student, I search the Bible for Truth, as a Believer, I search the Word for Encouragement and Enlightenment and as a human, I search HIS Story for understanding of my place in this awesome and astounding Universe that HE has Created.

Over the course of this project, I will be not only blogging my studies, my findings and my personal insights of the Word, but my thoughts, trials and prayers as well.

First, to all who yearn for a a closer, more intimate walk with our Lord set aside time in your day, fifteen to thirty minutes to Talk to God through prayer, and then listen to HIM through a daily study of HIS Word.
